Back from another weekend at Armageddon in Auckland and it was great.

Spent lots of money, ate lots of crappy food and walked many kilometres but it was very worth it for the chance to see David Hewlett, Kavan Smith, Gary Jones, Andee Frizzell and Doug Jones!

Was glad to catch up with everyone again which was great too.

The awesomeness of Kavan Smith,Gary Jones and David Hewlett snarking together cannot be explained.  Must find some videos so I can replay the greatness....

Kavan insists David is gay, Baz is his and both Jane and Mars are professional actors and apparently he learnt how to act in Jail.

David now knows all the Elmo songs as Baz is a huge fan and does a great Elmo impression.

One week to Armageddon! Whoo.

Am looking forward to seeing David Hewlett and Kavan Smith, however am very depressed that Michael Shanks couldn't make it. Alas he had to work, how very sucky.

Also looking forward to catching up with everyone :)

Marks are in!

Yay!!! Got my final mark for my Construction paper and I got a good mark which equals much happiness.

2 assignments due in one day equals much stress! I think it was over 60 pages by the time I was done.

Phew!! Big sigh of relief.

Now onto Statistics!!

Paul McGillion and David Nykl

Now that I have finally stopped buzzing from Gen Con I can write about it!

The Gen Con website explains itself than me!  "Four whole days of computer games, board games, card games, miniature war games, role play games …and more! If you like games you’re gonna love Gen Con™ Australia!

Touted as “The best four days in gaming”, it is the biggest ever interactive game-playing convention in the country!  More than 500 games and tournaments!   And…meet tons of games and sci fi celebrities, from Stargate and Firefly, to Dragonlance!"

Paul McGillion and David Nykl took over when the stars of Battlestar James Callis and Jamie Bamber (Dr Baltar and Apollo) couldn't make it.  Alan Tudyk was also there.

I could only make the Sunday session and this started with me arriving at the con after consuming a HUGE caramel cappachino and subsequently becoming jittery enough to bounce off walls.

I'd already seen David Nykl 2 years ago at Armageddon in Auckland but wasn't passing up an opportunity to see him again and so headed straight to the photo and autograph area and lurked around till starting time.

After a few false starts ie the con staff couldn't find David Nykl and Paul arrived then disappeared again, it was photo time!  I discovered Paul McGillion likes to hug, for the photos he wraps his arms around you which made many people including myself very happy!

He was dressed all in black and was wearing a Star Trek movie tshirt which he gladly told everyone he was in.

Next up Paul and David's talk where I win a prize and another hug!

Yay! Another semester over and another exam completed.  DIdn't go as well in the exams as I had hoped but I remain cautiously optimistic.  I'm pretty sure I did ok at least :)

Now its just the wait for my results. *crosses fingers*

My internet and phone is finally up and running again after the big move. Yay!

Don't do what I did and sign up to Virgin Broadband and Phone bundle. I tried 3 times to call them and never got through even after being on hold for 40 mins. The times I did get through it was after a 40 mins wait. Grrrrr.

Then once all was connected I got dial up speeds and really bad phone connections, so an executive decision was made to switch to Telstra which happened in 3 days instead of Virgin's 2 weeks!

SGA Calendar

My shiny new 2008 SGA Calendar arrived while I was away at Armageddon courtesy of chibi_kai.

I am full of happy!

There are 8 months that have the official team or single cast promo shots, 3 months that have wraith shots and 2 months of episode cast scenes.

Not sure why the producers thought we would need 3 months of Wraith but hey I'm still happy with it.

For the first three people that reply to this post, and who re-post this challenge: you win!

For your prize, I will send you a gift.

It might be something I've made, or something cool from my hidden stash of fabulousity. It might be music, or a gadget, or a toy, or a rubber duck, or a book I think you might enjoy. A love letter, a useful object, or something else that is awesome or maybe just taking up room in my house.

Whatever it is, I promise I will get it to you in 365 days of your posted comment or less, and I will need your snail mail.

The only thing you need to do to receive your gift is PARTICIPATE.

Be one of the first three journalers to reply to this, and post this very same thing in your journal, and YOU are the lucky giftee.

2nd day of Armagedon is now over.

Met Joe Flanigan, Christopher Judge and Connor Trineer.

Joe's talk yesterday was great, so was Chris's today.

Was too overcome with nervousness to say much to them during autographs but managed to spit something out so didn't go to badly.

Exam!!

Bored Doctor
So my exam for Economics is over, yay!!

Remains to be seen though whether I passed or not though :(

I had no trouble with the multiple choice, however the short answer and essay questions totally stumped me.

I had totally studied them and everything but when I came to do them, my mind was blank. Zip, nothing up top *sigh*

Nothing to do now but wait and see and cross my fingers!

One good thing though I can finally watch SGA 4x02 which I had put off to study.
